This 4 session course is all about shape, colour, texture and styles in architecture. Children will learn about architecture through colours and identify different geometries in a cityscape. Children will also design and create different architectural structures.

Week 1: How long is a line? You will use the line to create 3D shapes. Beginning with lines as streets and ending in lines as buildings. What architectural styles use different types of lines? Week 2: What shapes and different geometries can you find in your city? You will identify existing shapes in a cityscape and come up with your own. Week 3: How do we make patterns? You will explore what makes up a pattern, and how to design an architectural facade. Week 4: How to build a city through colour? You will learn about architecture by colour and emotion.
