Built Works and Common Objects created the structures entitled Razor Clam, Burdock Burr, Cactus and Octopus. They are long term collaborators on architectural projects.
Built Works is an architecture and design practice, with a vision to combine cutting-edge technology with environmentalism. It is founded on five principles: sustainability, health, context, technology and functionality. By adhering to these principles, each project is brought closer to nature: more air, more sunlight and more natural materials. Much can be drawn from the amazing and bizarre solutions animals and plants have come up with over millennia of evolution: how to store water, capture sunlight, find shade and use material in the most efficient way possible.
