From Kids"I have learned about buildings and different ways to build. I had the opportunity to share my own knowledge and books that I have read about it with new friends online." Rafi “It was really fun because I like building and creating things. I also learned a lot about animals. My favourite animal to learn about was the bear because I like bears very much!” Nina, aged 9 "How many sleeps until the next Nature's Architect session?" Amber |
From Parents"I love that everything is included in the kit!" Parent "My son absolutely loved his day with you and we still have this model. He’s really proud of it and I had no idea he could do this all on his own." Kate "The ‘Attenborough-style’ Miss Daisy introduction was sweet too – the children had a chance to share what they already knew and then they learned more about the birds, bears or crabs etc… it was really nice to have a different learning outlet away from their school curriculum and sufficient time to finish their work and then share it with each other. Since the age of 3 Nina has built, created, drawn, imagined and conjured up various 3D creations… I suspect her future lies in the realm of some sort of design, whether that be product, game or building. It was a joy to watch her experiment within your sessions. Nina took photos of all of her work and actually shared them with her school intranet last week. She was awarded “Best Artist” by her teachers and she was very proud!" - Bungie |
From Schools
"The bespoke workshop, 2D to 3D: Spacial Thinking in Architecture, designed by Museum of Architecture was a brilliantly planned and considered introduction to key ideas and skills in architectural model making and design. They did a tremendous job explaining how an architect can be inspired by 2D art in his or her designs and how they can make functional architectural applications not only aesthetically pleasing but also multipurpose.
The team exceeded our expectations and delivered a thoroughly engaging hands-on experience in spatial thinking and problem solving. The boys (age 14-17) benefited from Melissa and Morvi’s highly organised, patient and encouraging manner as they created their own individual architectural models.
St. Paul's Art Association will definitely organise another event with the Museum of Architecture in the near future."
